Intro to homemade pizza

Pizza is the most popular food in America. Ask anyone on the street where they would want to eat, and many will tell you pizza. Ask what their favorite dish is, and again, most will say pizza. Do you know how to make pizza? Do you know how to cook homemade pizza? If not, here’s your chance to learn how! Follow these simple steps and soon enough you’ll be flaunting your freshly made pizzas for all to see (and eat).

Ingredients and tools

First off we need ingredients for our homemade pizza. Here’s a list of what you’ll need:

– pizza dough (get a store bought one or make your own)

– tomato sauce (homemade tastes better, but it’s probably best to use the canned stuff in this case)

– cheese (again, use either fresh grated from a block or shredded from a bag)

– toppings! anything really will do, just add it according to preference and budget. here are some suggestions:

sausage + pepperoni

ham + pineapple

pepper + onion

mushrooms + olives… etc… etc…      **(if your going to have veggies on top of your pizza, recommend precooking them a bit so they’ll be nice and soft by the time your pizza is done)

– olive oil or vegetable oil and a bit of flour for preparation (to prevent sticking)

– baking pan (or pizza stone, which would probably work better but if you can’t afford it just use a normal pan or cookie sheet that’s been greased with some cooking spray.)
